Contract Land Staff Launches New Dedicated Public Sector
Division
Industry Veteran George L. "Slay" Schlemeyer, SR/WA,
Tapped to Lead New Team
STAFFORD, TEXAS (March 31, 2008) –
Contract Land Staff
(CLS) has launched a new Public Sector Division under
the leadership of George L. "Slay" Schlemeyer, SR/WA.
Best known for providing land management and right of
way consultants for the pipeline, utility, power and
electric transmission industries, CLS now has a division
dedicated to public sector entities within the State of
Texas. This move is in direct response to high demand
from government departments for CLS’s services.
The new Public Sector Division is based in Austin, Texas
and will focus on right of way negotiation and
acquisition services to support roadway, sewerage,
public use, infrastructure, and drainage improvement
projects. The group will also provide services such as
condemnation support, cost estimating, feasibility
studies, independent appraisal and review, land
management consulting, land records management,
relocation assistance, route and site selection,
training, in-house staffing, survey permissions and
notification, title/abstract research and analysis, and
turnkey project management.
In leading this new division George L. Schlemeyer, CLS’s
Vice President for Public Sector, will draw on his
knowledge of the issues facing leaders in public service
acquired during his tenure at the Texas Department of
Transportation. He brings over 20 years of experience in
commercial real estate and right of way acquisition as
well as an extensive working knowledge of government
guidelines, standards and regulations, and required
policies and procedures.
