Right of Way Training

The truth is that no one learns how to become a Right of Way agent in college. Much, if not all, Right of Way experience is learned on the job. So how do you ensure that you have professional Right of Way agents on your project?
You start by calling Contract Land Staff (CLS).
CLS maintains a fully staffed, internal training division because we believe that enhancing the skills of our people will positively impact the success of your project. CLS helps employees take their skills to the highest level possible, which in turn helps you achieve your company goals. Over the years, CLS’s management team has groomed and developed hundreds of Right of Way agents.

Prior to each critical phase of your project, CLS can provide both your field and office staff with a kick-off Right of Way Training program. Each course is tailored to your project’s requirements and covers procedures, customized Project Management Systems, and records management administration training. Once completed, your Right of Way agent stands ready to tackle any challenge headed their way.
CLS’s Project Right of Way Training programs are taught by Brent Leftwich, Dr. Mazie Leftwich, Psy.D., and other members of the CLS Leadership Team. Brent is a certified instructor for the International Right of Way Association’s (IRWA) Right of Way Agent Development Program. While Mazie, one of the IRWA’s most popular certified instructors, specializes in negotiation and communications courses.

CLS Professional Development Institute instructors include Brent Leftwich, Kerry Malone, Julie Rasmussen, John Nicholson, Rosie Dawson, and Leon Law.
Classes can be conducted at CLS Corporate Offices in Houston, on-site at project or client offices throughout the U.S., IRWA Region and Chapter Meetings and Conference, or at other locations as requested.
