Open and transparent communication is the key to successful landowner outreach. Early and consistent communication with all potentially impacted parties often makes the difference between a contested Right of Way project and one that is welcomed into the community. In the area of stakeholder outreach and management Contract Land Staff (CLS) can help you with:
- Clearly defining the benefits to your Right of Way project
- Identifying and setting up meetings with governmental agencies, civil leaders, public officials, and media contacts
- Devising a communication plan for educating landowners/stakeholders (could include development of key messages, brochures, letters, press releases, etc.)
- Scheduling and facilitating face-to-face landowner/stakeholder meetings
- Hosting public meetings / FERC
- Devising a distribution schedule for information
