Dawson
Vice President, Title Services
Rosie has developed a reputation as one of the
best title abstractors in the Right of Way industry
having researched title over most of the country
and developed an exacting and comprehensive style
to her title work. Rosie officially joined CLS
13 years ago, but actually began working on projects
with CLS Chairman and CEO Brent Leftwich in 1983.
As
Vice President, Title Services, Rosie is responsible
for administrative oversight of both title projects
and the title phase of larger turnkey projects
for CLS. Additionally, Rosie develops curriculum
and teaches title classes for CLS’s Professional
Development Institute. Courses include The
ABC’s of Title Research Process, Plotting
Legal Descriptions the Old Fashion Way, and Utilizing
Deed Plotter.
Prior to joining CLS, Rosie served
a five-year tenure as an abstractor with the Harris
County Attorney's Office in Houston, as well as
owning and operating her own consulting title practice
for several years. She is a long-time and active
member of the IRWA's Gulf State Chapter 8.
