Since 1998, Laurie Markoe has been instrumental
in shaping the strategic direction of CLS, guiding
the company through its transformation from a Right
of Way service company to a full-fledged Land and
Right of Way Management Consulting firm. Laurie
joined CLS as Marketing Director, quickly moving
up the ranks to Senior Vice President and General
Manager due to her broad business background. In
2007, Laurie was promoted to President and Chief
Operating Officer.
As President and COO, Laurie
is responsible for corporate administration, operational
and financial oversight, business development and
client service, marketing strategy, and human resource
management. She
intends to leverage her wealth of experience in
Land and Right of Way quality improvement to further
the growth of CLS’s resources and offerings.
Prior
to joining CLS Laurie was Client Services and Human
Resources Manager for a petrochemical services
provider, served as the Executive Director for
the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, and as the Gulf
Coast Marketing Manager for Sea World of Texas.
A
Baylor University graduate, Laurie is a member
of the International Right of Way Association's
(IRWA) International Pipeline Committee and is
second vice president of the IRWA’s local
chapter. She is also currently serving on
the IRWA’s International Communications and
Marketing Committee. Additionally, Laurie serves
on the board of directors of the Women’s
Energy Network of Houston and is a lifelong Girl
Scout volunteer.
